Linux is an operating system (much like windows is an operating system). Linux started of as one nerd’s hobby but quickly grew in fame. Linux is free, it’s source code is freely available, and it is created, developed and used by a large community

If you are one of our Python cohorts you’ll need to get Python 3.7 installed alongside Python2.7.

For those using Windows but wanting the benefits of Linux, consider using the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). WSL allows you to run a Linux distribution directly on your Windows machine, providing a seamless integration of Linux command-line tools and utilities.
